BATCH II REGISTRATION: ECO-AWARENESS ACTION: COLLABORATIVE MANGROVE PLANTING WITH DARLING SQUAD IN PEMOGAN, DENPASAR, BALI
PEMOGAN - Indonesia is home to the largest mangrove forest in the world, covering 3.36 million hectares, constituting 20% of the global mangrove forest area. Mangroves exhibit a carbon sequestration rate 2-4 times higher than tropical forests, storing 3-5 times more carbon.
One of the mangrove forests in Bali, Pemogan, has drawn the attention of Djarum Trees For Life as a focus for mangrove conservation efforts to protect the environment and surrounding ecosystem. Therefore, the SiapDarling community, in collaboration with Djarum Trees For Life, invites Darling Squad members residing in Bali to join the #AksiDarling event for mangrove planting in Pemogan, Denpasar, Bali.
In addition to mangrove planting, Darling Squad is encouraged to participate in another activity during this event—a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with expert speakers, such as Robi “Navicula” and other Darling Squad members. They will discuss a topic around mangroves and provide tips on how to preserve the environment through digital platforms. The event will be held on August 31, 2022, in Pemogan, Denpasar, Bali, and 150 members of Darling Squad who live in Bali are invited to join in.
Batch I registration opens on August 20, 2022, with a quota of 50 participants living in Bali. Let's create changes together, because no one can make a difference alone.
